Privacy Notice
Rotary Club of Bangkok Foundation acknowledges the importance of personal data protection of the user to website “www.rcbfoundation.org” (the “User”). This Privacy Notice is made for the purpose of how personal data protection of the User is processed with the details as specified herein.
The personal data collected, used and/or disclosed by the Foundation
Personal data under applicable laws means any data of an individual which can identify such User whether directly or indirectly (except for the deceased) and irrespective of whether is provided by the User or in possession of the Foundation or received by the Foundation or accessed from other reliable sources. Personal data of the User that is collected by, used by and/or disclosed by the Foundation shall include as follows:
- Identification Information such as first name/last name, identity card number, passport number, birth date, address, e-mail address, telephone number etc.
- Transaction Information such as credit card number, debit card number, billing address etc.
- Marital Status such as single, married etc.
- Favorite behavior of the User to search information through the internet (Online Behavior Information) such as Website Browsing or connection to other website of the User etc.
- Other information for data analytics or service improvement such as IP Address, Browser Type, Domain Name, visited Web page, Access Times and Referring Website Addresses.
The purpose to collect, use and/or disclose personal data
The Foundation shall collect, use and/or disclose personal data solely within the scope of purpose as follows:
- providing the improved level of services to the User in registration or any other services
- survey on service popularity or service improvement
- submission of data report to governmental agencies such as the Revenue Department (to facilitate the User regarding tax privilege)
- other legitimate interest of the Foundation. For example, the Foundation uses cookies to improve the services and the security of the website in order that the browser between the User and the Foundation’s computer system can function properly. Cookies are small text files that are installed or saved on the User’s hard drive by the Foundation’s computer system. These cookies are encrypted for the secured connection between the User’s computer and the Foundation’s system. No information of the User will be stored by cookies; therefore, such information cannot be retrieved or restored after leaving the system. Cookies are used widely in many websites and cause no harm to the User’s computer system. The browser shall be adjusted to support cookies before making any transaction through the Foundation’s website.
Disclosure of personal data
The Foundation shall not disclose personal data of the User to any third party unless:
(i) the consent has been given to the Foundation;
(ii) it follows the User’s requirement;
(iii) such disclosure is permitted by laws.
In case where the Foundation discloses personal data to any third party such as for package delivery or marketing analytics, the Foundation agrees to procure such third party to keep personal data of the User confidential and secured, and implement and maintain the appropriate privacy and security measures.
Updates of Privacy Notice
The Foundation reserves the right to update or revise this Privacy Notice from time to time without prior notice to the User. The User shall frequently review the Privacy Notice whenever visiting the Foundation’s website.
How long does the Foundation keep personal data of the User?
If the User has lost contact or has terminated relationship with the Foundation, the Foundation will retain personal data for back-up purpose for 10 years.
How can the User contact the Foundation?
If the User wishes to contact or has inquiry about information on collection, use and/or disclosure of personal data and/or rights of the User hereunder or to withdraw or cancel consent on marketing purpose (Unsubscribe) or informs the Foundation on illegitimate use of his/her personal data, the User can contact the Foundation through;
